QSTRUPPGM

Program that is called from an autostart job when the controlling subsystem is started

PowerTech recommended setting: Named program

Importance: Medium

The System Startup (QSTRUPPGM) Exit Program names a program that is executed when the system is first powered up. The QSTRUPPGM program functions similarly to the AUTOEXEC.BAT file on a PC in that it starts the system and controls what the initial environment will be.

Risks and Concerns: If someone were to replace the exit program with a Trojan horse, the Trojan Horse program could compromise system security. Luckily, this is relatively easy to secure.  Use *PUBLIC  AUT(*USE).
