The default settings on i5/ OS are good enough for a lot of companies. But if you need to harden your OS beyond the factory defaults, this session will provide you with a series of steps you can undertake to ratchet up your environment and reduce the risk of exposure.

This session will cover configuration areas such as System Values, Network Settings, Library and Directory Settings, User Profiles, and more.

By the end of this session, attendees will be able to:
1. Recognize i5/ OS settings that could be hardened.
2. Understand the risks and benefits of these changes.
3. Create a plan to harden their environment.

• 91% of  systems allow users to engage in fraud and cover their tracks - A violation of COBIT standards and a material audit.
• 95% of all systems have more than 10 users with ALLOBJ authority - A threat to data integrity and a material audit exception.
