I got this error message, what does it mean?

It probably means your version of JVM is lower than the required version. You
can upgrade at no charge here.

What servers are used when running Compliance Assessment?
For the initial assessment: *FTPSIGNON, *FTPSERVER, *RMTSRV, *SIGNON,
*DATAQSRV, *CNTRLSRV. If the application is already installed and licensed,
the two FTP servers are not used. If exit program security is in place (using
PowerTech Network Security, for example), you will need to open up rules that
allow access for the user running the assessment.

Does it leave any software on the AS/400 or make any changes?
Compliance Assessment makes no changes to the AS/400. The tool is completely
uninstalled after running on the AS/400. It is implemented using IBM best
practices as a licensed program product and it is completely removed from the
system once it has completed its assessment. The operating system keeps a
record the tool was installed once. Once the product is licensed with a key,
it remains installed on the AS/400.

How long does it take?
Compliance Assessment runs in less than a minute on most systems.

What are the PC requirements to install Compliance Assessment?

• Windows 2000 sp4 or Windows XP sp2
• Java Virtual Machine 1.5 +
• Internet Explorer 6.0 + OR Firefox 2.0+
• Flash 9.0 + - You will be prompted to install an upgrade if you are not
  already at this version.

What System i versions may we assess?
V 6.1, V5R4, V5R3, V5R2 or V5R1.

How can I tell what is the operating system on the System i?
Enter the wrklicinf command and verify the version of i5/OS.

How many different systems may we run this against?
As many as you would like, this is a free program. After a week, if you choose
to continue to run assessments against a specific (mission critical) system,
you must get a license for that system.

What user privileges are required on the PC?
Power User rights or greater.

What authorities are required on the System i?
*ALLOBJ and *SECADM

What are the space requirements?
On the PC approximately 28 MB of space, additionally, each assessment result
uses approximately 7 KB of space. A licensed version on the System i uses approximately 5 MB of disk space.
